She has extensive experience in conducting psychological evaluations and disability determination evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of professional specialties include addiction, personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Waterman is dedicated to providing superior therapeutic services to clients and their families, as well as educating the public about mental illness and chemical dependency.
Dr. Waterman graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Orange County, in 2010. In 2012, Elizabeth became a licensed Psychologist in the state of California.
Dr. Waterman is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She enjoys working with clients of all ages that struggle with managing/regulating emotions, cutting or other self-harm behaviors, suicidal thoughts or actions, relationship problems, substance abuse, and/or other addictions. She is currently completing intensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
